  7. SENTINEL is a run-time memory access debugging environment to help programmers
  8. locate and resolve hidden bugs in the use of dynamic memory.  The SENTINEL
  9. Debugging Environment automatically searches and finds hidden errors and
  10. memory leaks in C, C++, or X-Windows programs and is available on a wide
  11. selection of UNIX systems.  Providing run-time verification of pointer usage
  12. and dynamic memory allocation, SENTINEL traps memory errors, traces stack and
  13. reports the source file, function name and line number of the offending
  14. statements.  SENTINEL also provides developers with the same level of
  15. information concerning the allocation of memory and, if applicable, where
  16. memory was freed or overwritten.
